Cruze LS 1.6 from Portugal

Hey guys,

My name is Nuno, I'm from Setubal, Portugal and I just bought a Cruze LS 1.6 and I'll be getting it next week, so I'm pretty excited about it!!

I apologise for writing in English but I don't speak Italian, so... hope that's ok.

I will probably not be a very active user, so I won't give much work translating stuff!!

There's no Portuguese Chevrolet forum, so I've been using forums like Cruzetalk.com and stuff like that, but being American forums makes it dificult to understand some things, since they have diferent models, engines, etc.

I'm looking for an OEM GPS navigation system. I'll have a look around and see what you guys have been doing about it!

In Portugal we don't have a lot of versions. In fact the LS version seems to be out of the market as of early 2012. Now we have LT and LTZ, but as far as I can tell LT is pretty much the same as the "old" LS. Mine is still an LS because it's a late 2011 car.

Anyway... we don't have a lot of extras, and the ones we do have are insanely expensive, like the GPS Navigation which costs 1.250eur!! That's why I'm looking for an OEM.

As for engines, there's the 1.6 unleaded (manual and automatic), and the two diesel engines, 1.7 and 2.0 VCDI.

PS: as for the name... no problem!! eheh!

now also in italy we have only lt and ltz version, my ls is of 2010 and have nubira's motor (another car by chevrolet/daewoo), it's intresting that you alredy have diesel 1.7 that will probably be there after the summer.

about extras we had they only from same month, they're expensive that's way we buy all from china, also navigation sytem with abou 400-500 € ( the original one came from china for the same price)

now start to get all information that you need from our forum and we all hope that you'll find what you need

That's a very good question. I've never seen it in any model, so I'm guessing... no. No light nor rain sensors.

As far as I understood, you do not have automatic climate controls, so you don't have to bother really which one to choose: the most part of problems relayed to China Nav is due to uncompatibility to automatic climate display.
There are basicly 2 kind of Sat nav: one that replaces the whole radio set (Linellae and company...many brand names for allmost the same thing) , the other that replaces only the small display and adds a 7" touch screen display and DVD player to your existing radio set (Fedom, Anygo, Roadrover) It is only a question of taste ... and budget
As Cruze16ls mentioned correctly: don't forget to add also a reverse camera - very usefull and not very expensive. (I think i'll follow your example of the X-mas gift )
